Lens Flare/Flash During Sweep Camera Movement?

So i'm trying to figure out the best way how to incorporate a lens flare/flash on a camera sweep movement that is facing some text...per clients request.

Right now I just kind of have the overall clip laid out in FCPX with a piece of it cut in the center that has its exposure boosted briefly...then with a dissolve on both edit points of it...the effect sort of, kind of works...

This is all roughly based on this tutorial :

Any tips on how to get the back lighting to briefly flare out in to the camera (towards the viewer) as the text comes centered/squares up would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

have you considered to slam some 'real' lens flare over it?

ok, not in 'bathroom green', just to better illustrate the idea ....
animated such a flare gives that extra bling … call me J.J. ;)

… I just have to find out, which lensflare package I'm using here..... LOL!!
=edit=
ah, gottit: was an offer from www.fcpeffects.com/
(they frequently have 'sales')

Back in the olden days, we'd shoot these practical effects. Shooting the output from a slide projector in a dark studio was a fun project. The projector;s lens system created a point source light that would flare dramatically.
Put the projector on a table with wheels.
Put the trip on a dolly.
Tip the camera sideways.
Put a star filter on the lens.
Fill the studio with smoke.
Put a slide in the gate.
