Gamma or Color shift?

Sorry if you've already read this on Facebook!

I've got a motion project where I have a color solid generator set at a certain rgb value, but when I render it out and bring it into either FCPX or After Effects the RGB value has shifted.

Using the digital color meter, set to display native values, sampling the color in Motion, the RGB values don't match what I set it to in the picker.

BUT, using the digital color meter, set to display sRGB values, sampling the color in Motion, then I get the correct RGB readings.

Using the digital color meter, set to display native values, sampling the color of the rendered clip in After Effects, the RGB values don't match what I set it to in the picker (in motion).

If I set a solid in After Effects to the correct RBG value, using the digital color meter, set to display native values, sampling the color of the solid shows that it is the correct RGB value.

Any Ideas.
