Drop zones as replicators?

Drop zones as replicators? was created by Schwyhart
So, I have a drop zone that's replicated in a circle. Is it possible that these drop zones be separated so that I can put different videos/images in them? Or will it just replicate the footage I add to it?

This tutorial will show you how to get different images in each drop zone when they are replicated:

The replicator will just replicate the footage you add. In the link by bobmax you can use the offset feature to work around this.
Usually I tend to create the multiple videos from scratch without the replicator as it takes me about the same time as doing the workaround. It all depends on if I want to create the offset edit after wards or if I want to do the heavy work at the start.
If you show us what you have created maybe there could be another workaround as Motion usually has many ways to solve a problem.

It's on my laptop at home, but basically one of those old school binocular picture things. Where you pull the lever and it rotates to view another picture. However, it would nice if the pictures could be changed in FCPX.

Ahh I remember those. I had one. It may be just as quick to create the drop zone and align them along a path to keep them in line. This way you will have all your drop zones and you can add the videos individually.

That's what I'm thinking. It'd be nice if replicators could be freezed and have the option to put in one layer or each into it's own layer.
I've only recently got into Motion seriously and I feel it is so close to being an incredible software, but they are lacking features like I just mentioned; although, it could be I just haven't discovered all of it yet. All in all, I like it better than AE, which I've used quite a bit over the last five years. I am by no means an expert on motion graphics though.

You will discover that over time you will find a lot of the feature that we thought were hidden are actually hidden or there is another way to work around the.
Usually with Drop Zones I create one layer exactly the way I want it to look then duplicate it and then link the parameters. This way if I want to change something I can change it in the original. Also make sure to play around with Clone Layers they are a time saver.
