Yes, it is possible. But there's a lot involved. Not an overwhelming lot, but a lot to sit and explain in a forum post. Tracking a shape point, replicating a shape, etc. I wonder if the Nodes 2 plugin would do something like this? It is pricey, I'd try it manually, but could be done. I may have to experiment with that type of shape effect soon.

Nodes looks pretty cool but expensive lol, do you think this would have to be done with the shape tool in motion?

The shape tool would make it pretty easy, that's where you'd get those triangle shapes from. Then track one of the control points with the guy's hand/finger.
