Tempo difference between Motion and FCPX?

Tempo difference between Motion and FCPX? was created by jpischke
I'm wondering how I can fix this issue . . .
I've created a carousel-style generator in Motion where 4 image drop zones spin around an object, using the Orbit Around behavior. When viewing the movement in Motion, I can adjust the speed via Properties>Timing>Speed and this gives me the effect I like with a slower movement. Upon saving the generator, dropping in photos and playing it in FCP, the speed is a noticeably faster tempo - easily twice as fast - and I can't retime or adjust the speed in FCP.
Any thoughts on the discrepancy between Motion and FCP?
Thanks!
John

You can't publish that parameter? Or are you publishing it, and it's not having any effect in FCPX?
Motion will also slow down playback to give you better image quality, where as FCPX tries hard to keep up with the actual frame rate. So there can easily be perceived differences.

I was publishing it and it wasn't having any effect in FCPX.
However, I did figure out my problem: rather than adjust the Timing property, which just alters the playback in Motion, I reduced the Strength of the Orbit Around Behavior to 25%, which limits the speed of the actual orbit. This change relays perfectly from Motion to FCPX. I'm a fairly new Motion user, so this may have been obvious to other users - lesson learned!
