Motion 5 text scale issue was created by Aburken
Hello all, this is my first post.
I am trying to learn motion 5 on my own and am currently working on some kinetic typography.
My problem is that I want text to animate/grow from the center. Not the bottom left corner. I have changed the anchor point and it did nothing. Any solutions on how I can do this effect.
Thank you.

I just tested this and the easiest thing to do is make sure the text is center justified. It still zooms/rotates around its anchor point, which is bottom center. Changing the anchor point will change this to the exact center.
I also tested with right justified text, and yes, changing the anchor point to the center of the text block will cause it to zoom/rotate from the exact center.
Be sure you are changing the text layer's anchor point, not the group's anchor point.

Okay, I select the layer in the layers tab. I center justify. I then right click the anchor point and select anchor point. I move the Green arrow to the center of the word. I got to the Text >format tab and move scale to 0% and it still scales from the bottom, where the anchor point was.
What did I do wrong?

Okay, I figured it out. For anyone else pulling their hair out with the same problem you need to be in the properties tab. Then adjust the scale there. Not sure why, but problem solved.

The on screen controls you're working with position the layer object, not change the anchor point. Yes, work from the Inspector, it is easier.
BUT, you can select the "Anchor Point" tool and move the anchor point. Just be sure you don't have the "Arrow" tool selected.
