Best Video Stablizing Program | FCPX or Motion? A little help por favor... was created by rocknrollchef
Hello People:
I'm still pretty new with Motion 5 - seems to work OK with FCP 7 after I re-installed it.
Now, I'm trying to smooth out some "glider" video shots that aren't quite perfect, and could use some input:
1. Is Motion a better choice than FCPX for smoothing/stabilizing video?
2. The video I've tried analyzing & sharing with Motion doesn't look any different from the original - what the hell am I doing wrong? Or do I need to tweak the settings or something?
thanks to you all

Okay: I've been messing with FCPX (and Motion 5, and Adobe AE), and had SOME success stabilizing video with FCX but... it zooms approx. to where only approx. 50% of the original is viewable - unacceptable.
Do I need to adjust settings or something else to avoid this?
thanks,
chef

It's hard to judge and help with out seeing the footage, but you can adjust the Stabilization setting in both FCPX and Motion.
Which stabiliser did you use in After Effects, did it come with Mocha?
