Hi everyone,
This is my first post so i hope to understand how it works.
I have recorded a lot of footage with my canon T5I and when i was trying to edit i was warned that i should to change every take from native H.264 format to appleproress in order to edit and first off all create sequences to order my material in FCP.
When i changed from H.264 to apple proress i´ve seen the size of every file almost duplicate so i´ve started to have some prpblems of space in my external drive.
I`d like to know if when i create a sequence on FCP i can export to a less heavy format but not to lost quality of my material which was recorded in HD.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Only convert to ProRes if you have issues playing back the native H.264.
ProRes will make much larger files, that is an issue. If you don't have the storage space, stick with native H.264.
Again, only convert to ProRes "ONLY IF" you are having issues with performance editing H.264.
