In Final Cut 7... if I am doing a music video and the audio was given to me as a master at 24 bit 44.1k, what is the best practice?

FCP automatically plays it at the right speed - but when I come to render the final file off; should I be picking a dither option? Is there an audio dither option?

Never dither audio for simple output like that.

I don't think you are right... the advice seems to be ANYTIME that you go from 24 bit to 16... you must apply a dither.

Can anyone else confirm...
