Final Cut Pro Upgrade from 6.06 to 7.03 (Final Cut Studio 2) upgrade:and best OSx for FCPro 7.03?

I have the Final Cut Sudio 2 orginal program.

I am planning to wipe my hd and reinstall after upgrading the OSX.

Which mac OSX would be best for Finalc Cut pro 7.03?

Is Snow Leopard the best?

How to go about upgrading from 6.0 to 7.03, is it possible in one go?

I guess when I reinstall Fincal Cut pro from scratch on a new Os then it would be difficult to find all the update files online?

Any Mac OS X will run, the problem is getting it to install. I found the Rosetta method worked for my retina macbook pro from late 2013.

That is the link to the 7.0.3 update, I have been able to find many of the updates, in total about 550MB, if you need I could drop box and post the link.

Out of plain curiosity:
Why not move to FCPX is you're upgrading your OS to a more modern one?
Why upgrade the OS if what you have works fine?
Why wipe the drive clean (issues, or "just because")?
