sequence preset problems

sequence preset problems was created by KEBIRD
I am using an old version of FCP (5.1.4).
I'm finished cutting a 1hr film, and the footage was recorded on a Canon 5D, and is H.264 (1920 x 1080).
This version of FCP being quite old, there was no sequence preset that I could see for this, and so, to escape constant rendering and also considering the rushes to run faster on my old Mac Pro, I compressed the footage to a low-res Apple Intermediate codec and cut an offline of the film.
Offline now complete, I need to identically rebuild my finished film in full/online quality (H.264) and export the master movie. But still can't identify a sequence setting that fits the original uncompressed rushes codec. I will try post a pic of the list of choices it gives me.
Do I need to set up a custom sequence setting? Have attempted to do this but no joy so far. I may need someone to do an idiot's guide
How do I do this?
Or, do I need a more up-to-date version of FCP to handle this H.264 1920x1080 footage?
HOWEVER - THERE IS ONE MORE CONSIDERATION
My finished film is going to a DVD duplication company, who will no doubt have to compress it so there is going to be some loss of quality anyway when compared to the original footage...
So should I recompress the (full quality) onlined rushes to another of the sequence presets that is already listed on my old version of FCP? What would be the best quality and most appropriate compression for the film with regards to it then being exported for DVD duplication?
Please help!! Confused
Many thanks for all your help in advance.
Katharine
