Hi guys just joined up to this community. Hope everyone is well. Can anyone give me some advice here....
Ok so I have FCE (I know
) I have finished editing and need to export. I have done a piece for a friend who is at a trade show, he only has a DVD player, but the dvd player does have a USB port. I got him to test some footage I had exported from a different project and he said it worked fine, when he tried to play the project I did for him it wouldn't work. I must have done something different to the settings during export... what I do not know.
Attached a screen shot to show 2 different exports of same clip I tried to send, + the one that works. The one that works the codecs appear different... Codecs = Linear PCM, H.264 where as the other 2 say just H.264
(There is no audio in my piece, it is just an image slideshow)
Any advice here is appreciated. I am currently in a different country to my friend so can't even travel to help myself.

Not sure, but perhaps the bit rate is too high? That DVD player may have a bit rate limit it can play back. Not sure, just guessing.

Thanks Ben, good guess... I exported with lower resolution which reduced the bit-rate, it then worked on the dvd player. Thank you for your suggestion.

When I used to burn lots of DVD, I never went higher than 5000kbps, I found some players had problems with bitrates higher than this.
