help with effects

on this following video starting from duration 0:40 to 0:59 two effects have been used first is box panning with border and other box effects. want to know how it is created ..or any plugin is already there to make it? just let me know the name..

Simple shapes, that's all. Very easy to do, technically. Simple black shapes drawn and animated in Motion. Not aware of a plugin already created with these types of shapes, though.

They're just animated mattes - Digital Juice, Rampant Design Tools, etc. sell them. They aren't technically plugins, you just drag them above your video and set the correct Compositing Blend Mode.
