Video playback problems

I'm trying o drop in a video onto the timeline over a sequence. It plays back fine in the viewer window but when playing in the Canvas window it's enlarged or pushed forward. Once the sequence is stopped it looks fine in the canvas window. It only looks enlarged on playback. It is a AVI file that I made into a MOV file in streamclip. Please help!

I'm new to the program, but it may be because your source footage doesn't match the settings of your Final Cut Pro sequence. I believe you can change this in the sequence settings. Hope this helps.
