Help with building a sequence

I have to build a 1 hour show with subtitles (440 subtitles). I have a text doc and an exel spreadsheet all containing the same info that list the timecode in/out and what the subtitle should be. Is there anyway I can automate any portion of this...Maybe a seq can be created with all the insert edits at the right timecode points (something like that)....any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
