PIXELATED IMAGES?? Please Help! was created by dmiraie
Hi Forum!
Newbie here..
Any help would be massively appreciated!!
When I import my photoshop images into Final Cut,
parts of the images are pixelated.. and when I export
to video, the image is even more pixelated.. Can somebody
help me figure out what would be the best Final Cut
sequence settings for just a normal average JPEG??
Much Thanks!!!!!!

1- Be sure your images are the same frame size as the FCP sequence you'll be editing them in, and are 72dpi.
2- I'd use PNG files, but that's personal choice. Superior compression than JPEG.

Hey, thanks for the reply!!!
I have tried the things you mentioned..
I've tried using lots of different file types, including
PNG, lots of different dimensions and lots of different dpi..
I tried upgrading to
OSX Mavericks and bouncing movies from FCP7, FCPX, and iMovie...
I tried uploading the vids to Youtube and Vimeo and the quality was
still very bad.. even the thumbnail generated by Youtube looked very
bizarre and distorted..
I even tried taking screen shots of the JPEGS and making the movies
out of those instead.. same bizarre results..
I tried the same thing with a bunch of other random images pulled
off Google, and the upload quality was perfectly fine..
I tried taking screen shots of the Google images and making the movies
out of those...
and again the upload result was perfectly fine..
Something seems to be very wrong with my Photoshop renders, as far
as implementation with Final Cut.... but
I have no idea what! I've tried so many things!
This is really breaking my brain! It's funny how something so simple
can turn into such a nightmare :$

well, the only possibility left would be a problem in your shooting..
