Im having this problem when capturing from a digital 8 camera to FCP7. The sound is echoing. Any ideas?

Are you by any chance monitoring the audio from both your camera and computer at the same time? If you want to monitor from your computer, make sure your camera volume is turned down. Select audio monitoring in your capture settings...

Hey Craig,

thanks for your reply. No, I`m not monitoring the sound in the two places at the same time.
The digital 8 is in vcr mode, and I`m doing everything through final cut...
