NEW MAC PRO: Fresh install on Mavericks, won't upgrade to 7.0.3

I just received my brand new Mac Pro. Everything has installed just fine. I found the "Pro Applications Update 2010-02" on Apple.com (
support.apple.com/kb/dl949
), installed it, restarted, but nothing updated. FCP is still v7.0.
I'm afraid I won't be able to open my old FCP files that were edited on 7.0.3 if I don't figure this out. Other than that, the only problem I've run into is that Color flickers when playing back footage.

That is odd. Did the installer seem to run and finish normally? Did you try re-running it?

Actually, someone offered a solution on the Apple message boards. When you install Final Cut X, it throws all the Final Cut Studio 3 apps into a "Final Cut Studio" folder within the Application folder. Someone suggested pulling the apps back out of that folder to where they used to be, thinking the update didn't know where to find the applications. And that did the trick! Color is also no longer glitchy.
