Hi, is it possible to convert SD PAL (576x720) DVD footage in Final Cut Pro 6/7 to HD (1920x1080) Is it done at the capture stage or afterwards? What equipment & software would i need to achieve this? I currently use Ultrastudio 3D to capture SD PAL DVD onto a iMac27 and also use a Canopus ADVC300 to convert & capture onto a PowerMac G5

All you can really do it enlarge SD to HD frame size. This will cause a huge loss in image quality. Not much that can be done about that.
