Forcing Timeline Window to Front/ Opening Folder Tracks (or FCP7 equivalent)

Hi all,

Day three of working in Final Cut Pro 7. I am a composer for a film but have gradually taken on the job of sound designer also. I work daily in Logic so am used to that but am wondering a few things about FCP7, mainly because I am comparing it to Logic I think.

1. Is there any way to force the Timeline or Viewer windows to stay at the front of the screen despite whichever window is active. Whatever is going on with my clip screen I'd like the video screens to stay at the front.

2. I'm trying to export an xml to Logic which seems to work fine in the main, but there are some folder tracks with scenes and audio within in (are they called bins in FCP7?) and it seems that I need to unpack these for them to be exported in the xml. Is there are simple way to export the folder track so it is on the main timeline track?

Any help would be much appreciated,

Thank you,

Richard.
