Sony Z1u ejects hard drive whenever it's plugged up was created by arthur1930

I'm trying to log and capture using a sony z1u. Whenever I plug up the 400 port to my external hard drive it ejects. I've never had this problem before. I'm using FCP7, OS X, 10.8.4.
