dropping frame rates and export problems was created by omgreptarrr
hi there, i'm absolutely desperate for help. i've been recording on my iphone 5, a wee video for a friend. i've been working on it for ages and finally got it edited together. nothing overly complex, no effects or anything, just straight cuts of videos and a music mp3 underneath. it complained of dropping frame rates , but i ignored this and exported. thing is when i export, the frame still drops and it messes up the sound. it now lags behind about 30seconds-1minute. it's unwatchable. i've tried absolutely everything and nothing works. i don't know what to do. the video was already late for the deadline but i don't want my hard work to go to waste. if anyone could help i'd be so grateful. thanks.

Sounds like your hardware specs aren't suffitient. MP3 is not the best editing format. Use AIF or WAV. You can fix that in Garageband (yes, Ben, I know, 44.1k) or Audacity.

I have a similar problem. I edited a bunch of shorts shot on a Canon D7 but then, suddenly, it started the dreaded DROPPED FRAMES. Although I followed all of its recommendations, turning off Unlimited RT, lowering compression, closing open sequences, lowering real time audio and increasing speed of system (I just installed 8 MG more ram), I am still getting that error message.
