Hi there! Need some advice please as first learning project with friend; we want to make a series of Dvd's and have just filmed from three angles fitness performances. We have recorded in each scene footage shot on a 5D and two 7D's. The aim is to make a DVD and a video online. First thoughts are to prepare for the maximum resolution and destination i.e. for the DVD and convert into Online Media Format later:
1.organise files
2.Convert files form CANON DSLR's into PRORES 422
3. LAY DOWN final files rough cut style in to FCP timeline
4.try and sync them using Pluralise

Now some of these cameras might be different resolutions but mainly 1920 x 1080. Some footage has been filmed with different framerates for twixtor speed-ramping.

May I ask if we need to convert to PRORES but edit the settings in the PRORES compressor button to match the source material's size,FPS?
Is there anything else we need to consider procedure wise? We also have seperate audio recordings (.wav) from sound woman, and I will be editing using FCP and my colleague will be editing using FCP X (HOPE THE PROJECT FILESare cross compatible.

MANY THANKS!

In addition, sequence settings should be set to PRO RES 422, but what about the sequence settings fps?We are based in America, DVDs need to be made for American and European markets, and of course, some footage will be incorporating speed ramping using twixtor (so some source clips will be 60fps, most are 29.97 as we are based in America). Thanks!
