AUDIO ISSUE WITH ONE CLIP

AUDIO ISSUE WITH ONE CLIP was created by jmfrias
Hi! I'm struggling with one video clip in editing my short film. I can view it in playback and hear audio. The problem is the clip won't play any audio in the timeline. Both takes of this video clip do the same thing so I'm guessing it's something in how it recorded. Not sure what settings to check. Any help would be greatly appreciated! TIA

What camera shot this clip, what codec is it?
Did you Optimize on import?
What is the format of the audio (WAV, AIFF, MP3, etc)?
Be sure you're set to edit in both video and audio. In the toolbar, by the edit buttons (connect, insert, append), there is a menu arrowhead. That menu shows if you're doing to include audio, video, or both when you perform an edit function.

It's the same format as all the other clips in the sequence. Now, when I put this clip into a new project it plays fine but first I get this message "For best performance your sequence and External Video should be set to the format of the clips you are editing. Change sequence settings to match the clip settings?" I select yes and it plays on the timeline with audio. It seems like this clip has a different audio setting than the others. Any thoughts?
