EXPORT PROBLEM

EXPORT PROBLEM was created by Cbat81
Hi there, I've got some issue with my quicktime's exports,
I've got 2 sequences, who are exactly the same, except that one is with a logo and the other is logoless. When I'm exporting the one with the logo, all works fine but with the other, I've got my audio out of sync!? I'don't understand, it's the same sequence that I've copied and remove the logo.
tech spec: Xdcam hd422 50mbit/sec 25fps audio: 24bit, 48,000 khz
It's a problem that I've to face regularly so if anyone have any ideas...
Thank
Seb

1st of all, I'd have not made two Projects (there's no such thing as a Sequence any more). I'd have only made one. Use Roles. Take your logo, create a new Role for it called "Logo" and assign it that. Then in the Export (Cmd+E) window, you can set "Export" to "Roles As Multitrack Quicktime Movie". Then go to the "Roles" tab, and chose to have the "Logo" Role included in the exported file or not.
This way, you have only one Project that you know won't be out of sync.
24-bit audio? Where's it coming from? Digital video audio standard is 16-bit, 48kHz. If you're recording on a separate audio device, set it to record 16-bit. No need to go 24-bit for video. FCP is processing at 16-bit on the fly, too.
Clips that are out of sync with audio, if the video and audio are inside the same clip, right-click and "Open In Timeline", and verify the sync. In this way, you can adjust any audio that has gotten thrown out of sync for some reason.

I'm assuming you are working on FCP 7 posting here
Does the non logo version play in sync in the timeline prior to export?
Did you duplicate the sequence and then delete the logos or created a new
sequence and paste it in? Check the two sequences's settings to make sure they are the same
Are you exporting both as self contained or reference movies?

Oops, my bad, got the version forums confused. Scratch the Roles thing, you don't have that.

Hello, yes, I'm on fcp 07. But thanks to benb for his explanation anyway.
It's a duplicated sequence so the settings are the same and it play In sync In the timeline. I've to make self-contain export cause the two exports are for differents clients.
I think that the problem come from the video cause when I put my export (video only, no audio), in a sequence with the original audio, it's out of synch! (I hope that I'm clear?). I've tried to export it In Apple pro res and the result was the same!
Thanks for helping!
Seb

Strange goings on indeed!
What happens if you disable the Logo video track rather than delete it??

YES!!!!
After a second try in apple ProRes, it's finally working fine!
I still doesn't have any explanation of why this is happening.
FYI, I've try to disable the logo instead of deleting it, but the problem remain.
Thanks to you for your help, if I find what cause the trouble, I'll let you know,
thanks again
