i want to to a "subclip" from my timline how? in avid iam use to mrk or select some clip drag it to a bin and rename it to whatever i want. i know i can do a compound clip but can i rename it and drag it to the even libary?

In your Event create a new compound clip. Go to your project and select the section you want and hit COPY. Now open your compound clip and hit PASTE.

If you right-click the clip in a Timeline, from the pop-up menu select "Reveal In Event Browser", it will have the section of the master clip used in the Timeline selected as a Range automatically. Just hit F to make it a Favorite.
