Anyone know of a way to change the default duration setting of gap clips from 3 seconds to something else?

Not sure you can, but you can easily select it and control-d to type in a new duration.

You can also select multiple gaps in the timeline index and change them all. You can also copy a gap clip of any length, and control-v to paste it as many times as you want.

If you want an adjustable gap clip to appear in the event browser, export a gap clip from the timeline and then import it into an event. From there you could mark in and out points just like a regular clip. Seems like a lot of trouble though when clips are easy enough to resize anyway.

Hi there.

Would like to know the same thing, I separate many of my clips with 2 sec gaps. I know there are other ways as mentioned but 1st prize is a keyboard shortcut, 1 step.

Many thanks.
