Can FCPX playback slow in timeline? was created by dgwvideo
Haven't figured out how to playback an edited sequence in the timeline slowly like 1/2 speed, 1/4 speed, etc. This would be helpful when applying beat markers to a music score for precisely timing cuts where peaks in the waveforms may not represent where you need to edit.. Can this be done?

Hold down the right arrow key to play forward or the left arrow key to play backwards. Or K and L together to play forwards and K and J together to play backwards.

Thanks for the keyboard shortcuts for slow playback.
I am looking for a way to play back from FCPx at half-speed while I'm away from the app - I'm transcribing sequences from a film-in-progress
Maybe I can type on a separate computer, and put two rocks on the K and L keys!

Duplicate your Project.
Put all the clips into a Compound.
Re-time that Compound.
Delete the duplicated project when done.
