Video Wall Effect??

Looking for a video wall style effect for FCPX... I've seen a couple but they're not exactly what I need... I'm trying to do something like the attached file, with various images across multiple "screen" groups. I could do it by hand, just looking for a lazy man's solution Any ideas? thanks!

Man you can do this in Motion with a generator with a eassss Just let Motino do the work and chill out.

There were a dozen of these for legacy FCP, there has to be one made for X. If not, I'd make one today. How many videos you need on that wall? As a generator or a transition?

Thanks, the CHV stuff is close, but again I'm trying to do almost the exact kind of look as that poster. not a symmetric split screen or just squares. I used to program video walls 100 years ago lol ...the analogy would be being able to "assign" each source to a group of "monitors' even if it's an asymmetric group. Grid would be probably 6x5 or 8x4... something that'd fit in a 16:9 frame. they could be rectangular boxes... don't need to be square. Thanks again for the tip though.... may have to grab that CHV city plugin.

Bigger the better. How does 10 across and 6 down in a 720HD frame size sound? My big fear of doing this (it's half done) in Motion as plain drop zones is bogging things down for playback. I wish I knew QC to do it there where the Quartz engine could do a lot of the work. But, it's coming along.

Wow, no idea you'd do that! FWIW, my source is 1080p, so as long as it's 16:9 it'll work I think. I'm guessing you like a challenge. Thanks!
