Upon reading this I was thinking ....

The program is so bad, that prevented disclose, for that analysis were not made ​​and that could influence the purchase of this new version, but keeping it a secret will guarantee buyers a few thousand curious and so the sale of a few thousand FCPX, the opposed to allowing an early assessment and thus influence on the use of the new version.

My view is that we hypeing FCPX too much! I get exactly what I need from FCS (FCP 7.0.3, Motion, Colour , DVDSP, STP) to complete my projects and I see no need to thow away all my bought plugings etc .. views ??

Walter Biscardi will do what I think. I will wait and buy all show their opinions.

Don't confuse a Log & Transfer plugin with an FXPlug plugin - the site that you have linked to has done exactly that.

He says that Apple has given no attention to the FCP plugin developers. The site speaks of a developer Graeme Nattress plugins FCP, not on Log & Transfer.

But the graphic is from Canon. Graeme is on this board.

So why can't plugin writers convert their plugins to FXPlug themselves? Well FXScript and FXplug are completely different. FXScript is written within FCP and FXPlug plugins have to be built using Xcode, the app that's also used to build Mac applications. They are two very different ways of thinking.

overhyped? Yes of course. Apple really are the masters of advertising. By saying nothing they have managed to create a tornado of speculation. I wonder how many users will fall into a similar category as me; not making all my income (by any stretch of the imagination) from editing / production, but need / desire more than standard consumer progs can offer.
I think the success of the iPhone and iPad has opened a lot of the home PC group up to the benefits of the mac, and therefore want an editing programme to match and compliment. FCPX with its 'modest' price point but ? big features I think will be a massive hit.
