So, I've noticed that the Trim feature on FCP is extremely great, and really easy to keyframe, and it makes for great effects!

But is there a plug-in, or can someone make one(?), that allows me to trim and keyframe clips in a diagonal motion?

Can you be more specific? Trim in a diagonal motion? What exactly is diagonal?

Depending on what BG you have or want you could just create a solid colour BG rotate 45 degrees and keyframe that over the viewer window...is that what you mean?
