Export Sub-Roles As Individual Clips?

Export Sub-Roles As Individual Clips? was created by Shane M
So i have a 3 hour long clip that is basically a bunch of smaller 1-5 minute clips combined. I went through and cut them all up and needed to export all of them as individual clips...
From what i can tell you cannot do this...So i had an idea of using sub-roles under the main video role as a way to export the individual roles.
I tried exporting them "as individual clips" but it doesn't seem to be working...
Any tips on how to accomplish this?

How was this 3-hour long clip acquired?
Do you have QT7 on your Mac?
FCP X has no tool for this in FCP X yet, like there was in FCP legacy, but even that tool required the clip had it's original TOD timecode embedded.
With QTX player, Cmd-T gives you the Trim tool, then Export. Once the Export is done, Edit > Undo Trim. Repeat. Caveat is that you are super limited as to how you export it.
With QT7 player, you can use I and O to chose In/Out points, trim it down, export it, undo, repeat, same as with QTX. But with 7 you can export in any format you want, including how ever the video is already encoded.
In FCPX all I can see is you drop it into a Timeline, use Option with left/right bracket keys to trim In/Out points, Eport, undo, repeat. Same thing, different app. Cause we don't yet have a way to export only a segment of a Timeline.
In FCP legacy you can set In/Out points, export only what's between the In/Out points in the Sequence.
