the blade tool

in fcp7 i was able to assign the keyboard c key to cut a clip for a transition....how would i do this in fcp x...instead of having to hit the b key for the blade tool....thank you

Not quite sure what you mean, but it's a really good idea in my view to swap Blade/Make Blade Tool Active in your Keyboard Command Menu, then all you have to do to make a "cut" is to hit B which can also be done on the fly. I did the same in FCP7 and before with the V/Control V keys - this alwasy made far more sense to me than the default operation.
