Who needs tracks in FCPX - Amazing timeline layout

Stefan Kroesbacher sent in thsi amazing screengrab of a Final Cut Pro X timeline:

Here's a Screenshot from my current project (prior to start of editing)
it's a classical concert, shot with 5 cameras live (lowest clip in timeline)
plus footage from the rehearsals that had to be synced manually for the different pace in the various takes…

working on a 15" Macbook Pro, 16GB Ram, SSD (System) and external Drive…

p.s.: Pic had to be stitched for my screen is not big enough to show all the clips at the same time…..

Stefan - I see you are using a My Book for your external drive. What interface?

How do you get 16gb Ram into a MacBook? I maxed out mine when I bought it from Apple, but they only offered 8gb total. Is it possible to upgrade with a 3rd party?

Go to OWC, www.macsales.com and you can upgrade your memory from there, more than Apple offers, and cheaper.

He's showing an enormous number of clips, stacked video and connected clips in his project. Fairly complex.

Honestly, I really don't even understand what I am looking at. So much to learn.
