Using Keynote for a logo transition. was created by MyCrummyApartment
I have figured out the bare minimum in FCPx and am having some fun with it to be sure, but recently I wanted to create a logo transition and just could not figure out what tools in FCPx to use. Since I KNEW how I could do it in Keynote, that's what I did, then recorded the "presentation" in screenflow, exported a .mov file, then imported it into my FCPx project.
The video in question is a MAD MEN trailer seen here:
My Parody is here and the logo transition I am talking about is at 00:59.
My question is, should I be doing that logo in FCPx and how would I go about it? More for future reference as this comes up all the time in my cooking channel series.

If you already have the graphic created you could animate it in FCPX and keyframe the movement (keyframing the position). You could also create that in Motion and publish it as a transition into FCPX.

Thanks so much DGW. I don't have any experience with Motion yet, but it's on my list for sure. One of the issues I wouldn't have been able to tackle was the shadow, because I wanted it on a slightly different path and speed.
