Feature Length Doc... cut entirely in FCPX

Ever since FCPX came out, I've always thought (despite it's various shortcomings, several of which have been fixed) that it is a dream tool for the documentary filmmaker. I've been right. I LOVE using it and in using it I have found a lot of tips and tricks along the way.

So I wanted to share a project that my wife and I started filming two years ago (yes, I had first planned to do it in FCP7 and then decided to go entirely over to X last July). We're trying to raise a little cash to finish it, but I wanted to share the trailer (also done in X). Hope you enjoy and feel free to ask me any questions about my workflow (with hundreds of hours of footage, let's just say I've learned a few things;) ).

Some of the essential FCPX tools which helped a ton:
1. Filmstrip view (nothing like being able to find that perfect moment!)
2. Synchronize Clips (for DSLR shooters, this is so amazing)
3. Multicam. We've shot their dance performances using as many as 6 cameras and in proxy mode the program works like a charm.
