Can you back up FCPX to an external drive? was created by dgwvideo

This document indicates that an app purchased from the app store can be copied to an external drive. Can this be done with FCPX, and if so, how?

Well you could just drag or copy the Application to the external device.

Thanks, Scrubelicious....I didn't know whether there were other files aside from preference files that would be needed if I just dragged the main app. I assume this will also work for Motion and Compressor.
Do you know if there is a way to also backup the additional content for FCPX? I would like to have copies of everything since my slow internet connection is a nightmare when downloading all this stuff.
