High Quality Media or Proxy Media? was created by Anaximandus
Hi!
I'm using the first Mac I've ever bought, so this isn't a highly sophisticated machine. I only have 500GB HDD. And I am using AVCHD, which in itself is not a problem anymore.
Now, the exception from the rule is our wedding video. Up to three camera angles, two in HDV and one in AVCHD. Multicam synching worked like a charm, but now I am reaching the machine's performance limits.
Should I create "Optimised Media" or "Proxy Media"?
I believe, from a performance point of view, PROXY is the right choice, as they are smaller.
Can I just delete any previously created "High Quality Media" folders in the finder, to free up space?
Kind regards,
Alexander

Proxy media will improve speed. You need to select it in Preferences to be able to use it. You should switch back to Optimised media for output.
You can delete the optimised media to save space but output will take a lot longer using the AVCHD files.
