applying audio-delay effects

i found annoying behaviour when applying reverb/delay effects to audio clips - they end with the clip, even when you apply them to a compound-clip

is there any way of applying these effects to continue over clip borders?

Open the clip in timeline (from the contextual menu) and insert a gap (Opt-W) at the end of the clip. Once back in storyline you can extend the clip and add an effect to it.

You can also add a gap at the end of a compound clip.

You're going to have to give exact information about your media and the effect. What are they?

I di this a lot. You'd have to put it inside a Compound Clip, use a Gap Clip to add duration, tnen apply to the CC itself.
