All,

We heard the very sad news over the weekend of the passing away of Jean-Luc Bouchard.

Jean-Luc was in the marketing & PR team at Nothing Real, the original developers of Shake. In his own words "Was largely responsible for building the company image and making us look much bigger than we really were."

Apple bought the company in 2002 and Jean-Luc moved over to market development and relations for the pro apps.

He was a familiar smiling face at trade shows and always had enthusiasm for anything to do with editing, VFX, hardware or just making sure Apple Downloads had listed a product correctly. A nice guy with a great sense of humour too.

He will be missed by a lot of people in the industry. Our thoughts are with his wife and the twins.
