Can't use 5d MKII and 7D files anymore natively, just as transcoded proxy

Hello FCPX Users,

since last week I can not natively use my 5d MKII and 7D anymore! When I import them as usual (->file/import) the files are just displayed as missing file (red with the yellow triangle). The same for my GoPro files, actually for every files I try to import.

I unchecked all analyzing features in the import menu and also tried to use "copy to event folder" but they still are displayed as missing files.

The only way to work with the files and get them displayed is to transcode them during import.

But before everything worked fine natively. What am I doing wrong?

Switch playback preferences from proxy to original/optimized.

This always freaks me out when import something while I am working in Proxy, it gives me an "!" but in a min or two the proxies have been made and it goes away.

I will say the Proxy vs Original/Optimized is much easier to do in FCPX than creating offlines in FCP7 with proxies then Re-Onlining for output.

Thank you so much! Sometimes the easiest things keeps you from doing your work.

For my taste this button should be somewhere in the main window rather than in the preferences.
