today announced a significant upgrade to its family of professional-caliber mobile apps with the release of
Magic Bullet Movie Looks HD.
With the release of Movie Looks HD, Red Giant is adding more features to the product, making the app easier to use, and is bringing full support to the iPad.
Magic Bullet Movie Looks HD was designed by filmmakers and industry experts with a decade of experience developing industry popular looks and color correction applications for professional editors and VFX artists worldwide. Magic Bullet Movie Looks HD leverages this expertise and delivers sophisticated, professional looks tools in a mobile-optimized engine. The Movie Looks HD mobile engine exploits the Apple A4 and A5 chipset, and takes full advantage of the device’s GPU power to deliver extremely high image quality results.
“While the trend toward consumer adoption of photo and video-oriented apps continues to explode, there’s also a significant segment of professional users who rely on their mobile devices to enhance their production and post production work,” said Sean Safreed, co-founder of Red Giant. “Magic Bullet Movie Looks HD incorporates a lot feedback from our customers. We listened and removed some limitations in the original, and added in all of the Looks presets instead of making them in-app purchases. We feel this version delivers much greater value to our customers.”
What’s New in Magic Bullet Movie Looks 2?
Magic Bullet Movie Looks 2 delivers bolstered support for mobile devices and includes a number of new features:
Movie Looks now comes with all 40 Looks, including the Blockbuster and Black and White premium packs;

Fully optimized engine and interface for the iPad, including support for iPad 2;

So, I'm guessing next Apple will be able to let us leave FCPX to color grade. But only if we export it to an iPhone. Then we can grade on our phones and bring it back into FCPX using a "secret" technology that is just like XML, but only Apply products can use!
Just kidding, I'm actually kinda enjoying FCPX, though I know saying that will get some interesting responses.
