I once owned the Tangent Ripple and sold it as I moved from Resolve to FCPx. Now with Command Post it seems to be supported again so I think about buying it again. But some reviews say its clunky or not smooth. Is anyone using the ripple panel on FCPx with its inbuilt color correction tools without any plugins? How does it work?

Not necessary anymore. I will use AudioSwift in conjunction with command post to control the color board very fast from my trackpad.
You can use a mouse at the same time and shuffle through the clips and then just use the virtual faders on the trackpad when you set "Enable trackpad to automatically turn AudioSwift on".
This way you can even control Lift, Gamma, Gain at the same time with only one hand while scrolling with the mouse.
In a second pass you can then adjust the colors.
Thats the fastest way for a quick exposure setup I have ever seen!
