Is it possible to get compressor for FCP 10.4.6 in High Sierra

Hi
Is there anywhere I can either purchase / safe download of a version of Compressor that works in my current setup which is OS is High Sierra 10.13.6, FCP 10.4.6. I believe I can go to version 4.4.Cant find anything compatible of Apples store
I would appreciate any pointers

Apple only sells the current version of the software. You would need to make the purchase on a recent system. After you do that you can download an older version compatible with your OS.

There are other compression programs that might work like Handbrake, depending on what you need to do.

Downloaded handbrake as you suggested and it’s converting in great quality and saving me loads of disc space. Excellent recommendation👍

4.4.4 Works on a Mac Pro 4.1 on 10.13.6. (Just tested on one of the Old Folks Home units here.)

You might not be able to Send to Compressor directly from FCP, getting the warning you can't use (too old / new) some version with FCP but you can export and then drag it over to the non compliant version but then that's doing twice the work.
