I use roles just for clip organisation;
I rarely use the browser for organising; I mainly show everything into the timeline and organise from there. I know, I know. I've tried it the other way.
Anyway; the colours? Why can't I customise them? Also where are the cool haxies like you have for Logic Pro where you can colour the UI any way you want?
Mostly a rant unless anyone knows any way of having different colours or a plugin that adds a colour adjustment layer or something to show me
All best

Yes indeedy. That's where Resolve shines with the ability to colorize clips what, with some maybe 12 colors for clips, tags, notes? That and give us the option of identifying the color parameters used other than Color Wheel 1, Color Wheel 2, Color Wheel 3, etc. on just what was modified.
I've had to resort to naming vacant Adj Layers to use as notes of what effect was done and where.

I've been wanting to move to resolve for sometime but every project I've had has seemed to be time sensitive so I've not had the option of working out Resolve. I hope I can input all the Final Cut Pro key commands.
How easy is it to get to grips with?

You can inport FCPX key commands and mod native Resolve to FCP ones easily and keep as separate keysets. Even then I get lost about what keys do what when jumping between editing apps.
I use Studio but I recommend getting the free version and introduce yourself to it on a time available basis. Do a simple project in FCP then try doing the exact edit in Resolve. If you feel adventurous then spend $300 for Studio. (Buy one of their devices Like the Micro Panel - Look for when discounted - you get can the Studio version free.)
