Correction on synchronised clips ISSUE

Hi,
I have a bunch of interviews and I used synchronised clips to sync the video and audio files (from different sources).
I have color corrected these synchronised clips before putting them on my project's timeline.
The problem is that the synchronised in the timeline show-up with NO CORRECTION. 
What am Ì missing?

How does one 'color correct' clips that aren't already in the timeline unless they first get color corrected, exported as a different & complete files, THEN ingested back into FCP where they get plopped into the timeline? Maybe I'm missing something simple in deciphering your workflow but if CC clips look fine played outside & independently of FCP that grade should look the same in the timeline.

You sure you didn't grab the pre color corrected original clips instead of the later CC'd & synced clips instead?
