Is there a way to bend/transform footage in FCP? Let's say I have a roughly straight line and I want to make it a bit curved? But it's actual video footage...

You might take a look at the Effect browser, skimming over the thumbnails to see previews of the various effects. Under the Video Effects -> Distortion category there are some possible options...

I was thinking more almost like bezier curves,... Like the distort function but if you could manipulate the points more independantly...

Oh, okay. I wonder if Motion could handle something like that. It seems like a reasonable thing for some application to be able to do. This is outside of my current wheelhouse.

I'm sure others here would have some useful thoughts about this...
