As a very novice video editor, and doing it purely as a hobby for my tiny YouTube channel (as in I just want to do what is the 'easiest' and less time consuming way for my videos to look 'good enough') I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice to help with my work flow within FCP.
I do mainly talking head videos with me talking about psychological concepts I have found in other YouTube videos and popular culture. I will try and upload a screen shot or a one drive link with my screen shot. Hopefully you can see that I have the video I am critiquing in the main time line. I then have my video with all the 'ums' etc edited out. The timeline with me above the main time line is where I am in PIP and the main video is full screen. The time line with me below the main time line is where I am talking full screen with the main video as PIP. When I talk for a while I keep the main timeline on the screen using a freeze frame for the length of time I am talking.
Is this the best way for me to set this up do you think or am I missing a trick somewhere?
