Video Role Colors not shown, would like them for Auditions ...

Hi there,
when I first saw the FCP-X demo, what caught my eye was Auditions, but somehow it didn't get featured and I proceeded using FCP-Legacy for years until I started full time working with FCP-X, and now I finally have also found the time and projects to effectively incorporate Auditions in my editing workflow. And I don't mean for color correction, but actually different versions of scenes or takes.
So, with the current project, this has gotten to be a major tool, and I would really love to have the Auditions in a different color, so I always remember for which sections there are still Auditions active.
I tried this with the Video Role, which would make sense, but apparently Audio role always takes over the color. Since Audio is part of the Audition, I would of course also not change the audio role, because in exports, I'd like to keep the ability of exporting stems without having to break up the Auditions.
Is there a way that FCP-X shows the video role color in the timeline prioritized over audio role color? I'd just like to have the video track take the color of the video role. Audio tracks can keep their color.

There isn’t unfortunately, but you definitely should make a feature request for it. We should be able to see both video and audio role colors.

In a given Project/timeline, you could see which clips are Auditions by opening the Timeline Index and typing "audition" (no quotes) in the search field (with Clips selected just below). That should list the instances of Auditions in the current Project/timeline.
