Create a final project by pasting together many small projects was created by solitone

Is it possible to create three small projects (e.g. part1, part2, and part3), and in the end consolidate them into the final complete project? If yes, what the workflow would be?

Select the contents of each project, copy them , and paste them into a new project.

I recently used that technique. Question: If one subsequently deletes those three source projects, would anything be lost from the assembled/consolidated project?
